Emely
I’m the owner/head instructor at Domingo. I believe strongly in movement as therapy (somatic therapy), I’m passionate about play, and I know the importance of community. These are the driving forces in me and why I created Domingo. I wanted a safe place for all kinds of people to land. The lonely, new to town, the overstimulated parent/caregiver, the spread-too-thin, the beginning or end of a chapter, the misunderstood, the busy brain, or those needing motivation. I wanted to be able to hold space for folks. I’m proud of our diverse community. Our instructors and students represent a wide range of ages, ethnicities, fields of study, and backgrounds.
As for me, I feel the most at home outside, with sunshine on my face and my bare feet in the grass. I love the sound of wind chimes and flowing water. When I’m not teaching and working on the back end of Domingo, you can find me hiking, paddle boarding, hula-hooping, dancing, practicing guitar, or enjoying live music outdoors.
